How does BackEngine handle security and privacy?
It only reads data about customers and prospects
You give BackEngine a list of accounts to watch. Anything else — emails between coworkers, personal threads — never gets read or stored.
Each company's data is sealed off
Your data is encrypted while stored and while moving, with its own encryption key. It's never mixed with anyone else's.
People only see what they should
Permissions control what each person can ask about. A rep gets answers from their accounts only. Someone can even get a summary of an issue without seeing the raw emails behind it.
And no — it's never used to train AI models
Your data is used for exactly one thing: providing the BackEngine Service to you. We don't own it, sell it, share it, or train models on it. It stays owned and controlled by you, encrypted at all times. See our privacy policy.
The paperwork is ready
SOC 2 and HIPAA compliant. We sign BAAs. Your security team can review our full trust center before anything connects.
BackEngine reads only what's about your customers and prospects, locks it down, and shows each person only what they're allowed to see.
